Response templates

Learn how to create templates for your responses to reports' comments

Updated over a week ago

What are response templates?

Response templates facilitate your communication with Hunters directly from the platform. You can create and customize pre-defined comments to save time and maintain consistency in your replies (e.g., triage updates, reward notifications, scope clarifications).

Once configured, these templates appear in the reply window when you are drafting a message to an Hunter. You can then select and send them as-it or edit before sending.

Creating a response template

  • Go to the “Admin panel”

  • Select "Response templates" from the left side menu

  • Click on “Add a response template”

  • Select which program type it should apply to (e.g., Bug Bounty, VDP, etc.)

  • Enter a title to easily identify the template internally

  • Write the message content. You can include formatting and placeholder variables if needed.

  • Click on "Save"

Your new template will now be available when replying to reports.

Editing or deleting a template

  • To edit a template, click the edit icon next to its title. Make your changes and save.

  • To delete a template, click the trash icon next to it and confirm

Using a template when replying

  • Open a report and click “Reply”

  • Select “Templates” in the message window

  • Choose the desired template

  • Modify the text if needed, then send

Good practices

  • Keep templates clear and concise

  • Use a friendly, professional tone

  • Regularly review and update templates to reflect changes in your program policy or scope
