What is a Tax Identification Number (TIN)?
The TIN is an identification number used in several countries and assigned to taxpayers by the tax authorities.
All european hunters must declare a Tax Identification Number (TIN) to withdraw a reward on the YesWeHack platform.
ℹ️ Only individual private hunters are concerned, as company tax information (e.g., SIRET in France) is already a mandatory field.

For example, in France:
The French tax administration automatically assigns a unique identifier to any individual who has a tax reporting obligation in France. This is done either upon their first tax return or when their first tax payment obligation is issued.
This identifier consists of 13 digits and always begins with 0, 1, 2, or 3.
It serves to identify each taxpayer and their tax obligations, and is used as the unique reference number for all tax-related procedures.
For individuals, the tax identification number can be found on:
the pre-filled income tax return
the income tax assessment notice
the housing tax
the property tax.
