How to create a report template
Report templates help you save time when submitting vulnerabilities. By defining reusable structures (sections, tags, writing tips), you avoid repeating the same content and ensure higher quality reports.
Why use a template?
Standardize the presentation of your findings.
Make sure you don’t forget any key element (POC, reproduction steps, impact).
Speed up the reporting process.
Step 1 : Access your templates
Log in to your Hunter account
Click on your profile (top right corner)
Navigate to “My YesWeHack tools”
Click on "Report templates" in the left-side menu
This opens the template manager interface
Step 2 : Create a new template
In the template manager, define the sections, structure, and default content for your report template
Click on “Add a report template” to make it available
Choose a "Name" for your report template
Suggested structure :
Summary: short explanation of the issue
Reproduction steps: detailed and numbered
Proof of Concept (POC) : screenshots, payloads, logs
Impact : why this vulnerability is critical
Click on "Add"
Step 3: Use the template when submitting a report
Click “Submit a report” in the chosen program
At the Bug description section, open the “Select a template" dropdown
Select your template—the content inserts automatically, ready to be customized
Best practices
Create one template per recurring vulnerability type (XSS, IDOR, SQLi, etc.).
Keep your templates up to date with your latest insights.
Always customize before submitting: templates support context, not replace it.
Expected outcome
Using templates helps deliver reports that are faster, better structured, and more professional, increasing your odds of rapid validation, quick validations and bonus points on report quality.
